VQ4013 is an AS568-013 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.426 in (10.82 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.566 in (14.38 mm). In service, this quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance. This item is further identified as FKM 70 Duro.

It resists aromatic hydrocarbons, many acids, and engine and transmission fluids. Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters call for a different compound.

Typical settings include oil and gas, aerospace, and high-temperature process equipment.
