Part number VQ4021 is an AS568-021 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.926 in (23.52 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.066 in (27.08 mm). A quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C).
