The VQ4024 is an AS568-024 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.114 in (2.9 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.254 in (31.85 mm). This quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters.

Common environments for this compound include oil and gas, automotive fuel systems, and aerospace.
