**4038-514AD MINNESOTA RUBBER QUADRING

Part number VQ4038 is an AS568-038 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.614 in (66.4 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.754 in (69.95 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters will shorten service life.
