4039-514AD MINNESOTA RUBBER QUAD RING

Part number VQ4039 is an AS568-039 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.739 in (69.57 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.879 in (73.13 mm). A quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and petroleum oils and fuels. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or ketones and esters. The profile itself contributes resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings and lower compressive load required to achieve a seal.
