This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-040 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile with an inside diameter of 2.864 in (72.75 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.004 in (76.3 mm), catalogued under part number VQ4040. It provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, aggressive chemicals, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.
