The VQ4043 is an AS568-043 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.489 in (88.62 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.629 in (92.18 mm). This quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or amines.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and oil and gas.
