VQ4045 is an AS568-045 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.989 in (101.32 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.129 in (104.88 mm). In service, this quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service.
