Part number VQ4048 is an AS568-048 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.739 in (120.37 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.879 in (123.93 mm). A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

This material stands up to many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit.
