4121-514AD MINNESOTA RUBBER QUAD RING

This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-121 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile supplied with an inside diameter of 1.049 in (26.64 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.255 in (31.88 mm), catalogued under part number VQ4121. It uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Expect good resistance to aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
