VQ4158 is an AS568-158 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.737 in (120.32 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.943 in (125.55 mm). In service, this quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against many acids, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters are present.

It sees regular use in automotive fuel systems, semiconductor equipment, and oil and gas.
