*4163-514AD MINNESOTA RUBBER QUAD RING

The VQ4163 is an AS568-163 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.987 in (152.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.193 in (157.3 mm). This quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in aerospace, high-temperature process equipment, and chemical processing.
