Part number VQ4164 is an AS568-164 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 6.237 in (158.42 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.443 in (163.65 mm). A quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. It resists chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and petroleum oils and fuels. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.
