Part number VQ4210 is an AS568-210 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.734 in (18.64 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.012 in (25.7 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, many acids, and engine and transmission fluids. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

Typical settings include chemical processing, aerospace, and semiconductor equipment.
