VQ4215 is an AS568-215 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.046 in (26.57 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.324 in (33.63 mm). In service, this quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for outstanding high-temperature capability and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam call for a different compound.
