Ordered as VQ4216, this is an AS568-216 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.109 in (28.17 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.387 in (35.23 mm). The quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters will shorten service life.
