This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-221 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile with an inside diameter of 1.421 in (36.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.699 in (43.15 mm), catalogued under part number VQ4221. It seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
