4231-514AD MINNESOTA RUBBER QUAD RING

This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-231 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile measuring an inside diameter of 2.609 in (66.27 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.887 in (73.33 mm), catalogued under part number VQ4231. It delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material holds up against chlorinated solvents, aggressive chemicals, and many acids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to hot water and steam or amines will shorten service life.
