Ordered as VQ4234, this is an AS568-234 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.984 in (75.79 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.262 in (82.85 mm). The quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

It resists many acids, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
