VQ4237 is an AS568-237 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.359 in (85.32 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.637 in (92.38 mm). In service, this quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, chlorinated solvents, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) delivers outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
