The VQ4243 is an AS568-243 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.109 in (104.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.387 in (111.43 mm). This quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Viton® (FKM) is specified for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in amines or hot water and steam.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, high-temperature process equipment, and oil and gas.
