It seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines call for a different compound.
