This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-277 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile built to an inside diameter of 11.484 in (291.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.762 in (298.75 mm), catalogued under part number VQ4277. It delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

The compound resists aggressive chemicals, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids.
