The VQ4336 is an AS568-336 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.85 in (72.39 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.27 in (83.06 mm). This quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

It resists many acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or hot water and steam call for a different compound.

Typical settings include chemical processing, oil and gas, and aerospace.
