APG stocks the VQ4342, an AS568-342 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.6 in (91.44 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.02 in (102.11 mm). A quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, aggressive chemicals, and engine and transmission fluids. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with amines or ketones and esters. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and two sealing bands per contact face rather than one.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, aerospace, and oil and gas.
