Ordered as VQ4345, this is an AS568-345 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.975 in (100.97 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.395 in (111.63 mm). The quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, aggressive chemicals, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound.
