Ordered as VQ4347, this is an AS568-347 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.225 in (107.32 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.645 in (117.98 mm). The quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Expect good resistance to chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
