A quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. This material stands up to aggressive chemicals, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
