VQ4356 is an AS568-356 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 5.35 in (135.89 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.77 in (146.56 mm). In service, this quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
