APG stocks the VQ4365, an AS568-365 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.975 in (177.17 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.395 in (187.83 mm). A quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.
As a material, Viton® (FKM) is known for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It resists aromatic hydrocarbons, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where amines or ketones and esters are present. The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.
You will find this material specified across high-temperature process equipment, oil and gas, and semiconductor equipment.
This item is sold individually under part number VQ4365. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 7 inch. Review your operating media and conditions against this specification before installation. If you need a size, durometer or compound that is not listed, APG can cross-reference from a print, a sample or a competitor part number.
