APG stocks the VQ4374, an AS568-374 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 9.984 in (253.59 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.645 in (244.98 mm). A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

This material stands up to many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or ketones and esters. The profile itself contributes a parting line located away from the sealing surface and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.
