Ordered as VQ4386, this is an AS568-386 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.375 in (441.33 mm). The quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is specified for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists many acids, aggressive chemicals, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or amines.

It sees regular use in aerospace, oil and gas, and semiconductor equipment.
