VQ4436 is an AS568-436 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.85 in (148.59 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.4 in (162.56 mm). In service, this quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. Viton® (FKM) delivers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, automotive fuel systems, and aerospace.
