**4447-514AD MINNESOTA RUBBER QUAD RING

This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-447 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile with an inside diameter of 8.975 in (227.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.525 in (241.94 mm), catalogued under part number VQ4447. It provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, chlorinated solvents, and many acids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving hot water and steam or amines call for a different compound.
