The VQ4459 is an AS568-459 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 14.975 in (380.37 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.525 in (394.34 mm). This quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Expect good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with hot water and steam or amines. The profile itself contributes two sealing bands per contact face rather than one and resistance to the spiral twisting that defeats round-section rings.
